Two years ago my good friend Ragnhild was expecting, and she knew that it was a girl. I have always wanted to knit a dress for a baby, but it is kind of risky to do as long as we usually not know the sex of the baby before it is born. And I am too slow to knit it when the baby is born. Then the welcome present will have to be given 3 months after the birth.. So I was really glad that they decided to know the sex and that it was a girl! I knitted this red dress, and it turned out really beautiful. It is stretchy too, so she was able to use it for a long period. The pattern showed this dress with sleeves, but I decided that it would be better without since the red color was so evident. And look how pretty Kristine is! (The pattern can be provided if asked for)

Hey. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I am part Norweigan. The rosemaling was so much fun. I am working on a dresser to match the bed. I love this little red knitted dress...so cute. Nice to hear from you.
