Wedding bouquet (brudebukett)

When we got married August 16th this year we had one wish for the decorations: they were to be made out of wild plants and flowers that we could find in the forrest. Early this year I gave the mission to my sister in law, Mari, who impressed everyone by making the prettiest decorations I ever saw, and by making me so proud of my wedding bouquet. She started with buying a book about flower decorations. We decided to shape the bouquet as a heart, and so she did. She made it out of steel wire, and then filled it with dwarf birch (dvergbjørk), moon daisies (prestekrager), red clover (rød kløver) and harebells (blåklokker). The bouquets for the bridesmaids were made out of the same principle, but only with dwarf birch and red clovers. The buttonhole flowers she made with a leaf from the cloudberry plant, and with one harebell and one moon daisy. The decorations for the table were made with dwarf birch twisted around white candles, and some bouquets were also made with dwarf birch and heather. On top of all this she had made handles for the bouquets and vases for the decorations out of birchbark. All of this made the theme perfect and it gave our wedding the extra touch that we wanted! And do you wonder about how long time she spent on this... "Only" 2,5 days!! Thank you Mari :-) (More pictures will be published eventually)
